Can you believe how quickly this year is passing us by?

My time at Irene’s was much fun as it is normally. We were asked to go with a production company to film haunted locations in and around Llanelli in S.W. Wales. The object of the filming was to help promote Llanelli as the most haunted town in Wales in the UK. Four haunted locations were covered but what made this filming different was the fact that instead of being done at night it was done during broad daylight and it was certainly a nice sunny day.

The film has not been released yet but with the photographs Irene and myself took of the locations, our very own dear Lon has created a slideshow that has been put out onto the Spirit Rescue International Youtube channel.

Whilst staying at Irene's with my husband looking after the house and dogs while Irene was away in Italy I had a couple of paranormal experiences of my own. I was watching television one night in the day-room which is adjacent to the dining room. I heard a female voice moan/cry out, the sound was coming from the dining room. Rationalising these things as I always do,at first I thought it was Irene's pet parrot then realised it couldn't have been, it was not high pitched enough more of a low deeper sound. This was to me unexplainable.

The second thing that was hard to explain that happened in those first few days. Irene always keeps her dogs at night in what was once known as the old parlour. This part of the house has always been quite active and this night was no different, 5am in the morning something was upsetting the dogs they were going crazy growling and barking. I went down to try and sort them out and just as I approached the closed door I heard Herbert one of Irene's resident ghosts say "Hello" in his calm voice as if he was in there trying to reassure them.

Irene also has a ring that came into her possession over 45 years ago, the story of the ring and how it came into Irene's keep has been a story on this newsletter before. Every time this ring is taken out of its box the house fills up with flies. Once again on Irene's return from Italy she took the ring out to show me she still had it. The following morning when we got up the kitchen was full of flies once more,they were not flying about but just sitting up on the ceiling above the cupboard which was where the ring was. This again was really strange and I am at a loss to explain it.

A previous investigation with Irene that I attended last year. A young couple who owned a pub here in Wales were having paranormal problems. The cause was located to an old broken clock from the 1920's. this clock held an attachment. The couple asked Irene to remove the clock from the premises, all became quiet from then on. Happy clients. case closed.

The clock came home with Irene till she had time to decide what to do with it. unexplainable bangs could be heard at night. Her son and daughter in law on two separate occasion's have been witness to the clock lift up from its position on the window sill. And as if invisible hands were carrying it float about 6 foot into the centre of the room and slowly lower to its resting place on the floor. The clock being an old one obviously doe's not run on a battery and has no key to wind it up. It is broken and by rights should not work at all but when it is active it will start to tick,only tick no tock and the ticking will start slow and get faster and faster picking up tempo...tick tick tick tick tick.

To keep it quiet Irene keeps a crucifix from the Vatican in Rome hanging on it. if it starts up she will douse it with Holy water. Unknown to any of us my husband being the sceptic he is decided to take it upon himself to remove the crucifix and place it behind the clock. This was on the Thursday night, on the Friday morning I entered the sitting room where the clock is kept and it was quite happily ticking away. On relating this to Irene she came into the room we located the crucifix and placed it back on the clock. But the damage was done what ever was attached to the clock was now loose.

For the next couple of days things were up and down. The crunch came the day we left. Irene's husband was in the parlour feeding the dogs when all of a sudden and at the same time all six of them stopped eating at the same time, stared at the same spot to one side of the room, heckles up shaking and growling. The smaller of the dogs ran behind him in fear. Irene's husband called out to her to come and see. The whole room had gone cold and the atmosphere was thick. Irene had to go through a ritual of clearing it and the whole house especially the parlour had to be sprayed with Holy water. The clock has remained quiet since.

Other then all this we had a good time, some very sunny days where we spent many a happy hour sitting out on the patio drinking wine and eating strawberrys.
